Lisa

Lisa was officially diagnosed at age 11. She has used steroid creams and phototherapy (light therapy) when she was younger. After the age of 18, she was allowed by her doctors to try cyclosporine, Fumaderm and methotrexate.

    Abbie was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 10. She recently finished a course of phototherapy which she found very effective. Abbie tries to remember that other people often don't realise the negative impact that their comments about psoriasis can have.

    Lucy was diagnosed with psoriasis at 11. She has tried different medications and three courses of light therapy. She is very encouraging of the need for more awareness and support around the emotional and psychological impacts of skin conditions.

    Steven developed psoriasis at age 14. He has used medicated shampoos and shower gels, undergone light therapy and his current treatment is Dithrocream (dithranol). He tries to be positive in the way that he copes and says he is now more accepting of having psoriasis.
