George – Experiences of intensive care with COVID-19

George was the first Covid patient to survive intensive care at his local teaching hospital. He was mechanically ventilated for 4 weeks. He has sustained permanent damage to his lungs and continues to experience symptoms 18 months after discharge. Interviewed for the study in September 2021.
