Interview 42

Diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2000, and treated with hormone therapy and chemotherapy. Also given some radiotherapy to control pain caused by metastases in the bones.

    Diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer in 1995, which was treated with regular chemotherapy, at least every nine months. In 2003 developed metastases in the spine.

    Diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2001, and unsuccessfully treated with a bladder infusion of BCG. Offered radiotherapy but declined because it was thought that treatment might affect mobility (due to polyneuropathy diagnosed in 1994).
