Interview 29

He had a stroke due to clot aged 83 which caused partial right paralysis and emotional lability. Medication' doxazosin, bendroflemethiazide, valsartan, adalat (blood pressure), simvastatin (cholesterol), aspirin, dipyridamole (antiplatelet).

    She had a stroke attributed to a clot and the age of 92 which caused weakness of her right leg and arm and slurred speech. Medication' bendrofluazide (blood pressure) now stopped, aspirin (anti-platelet), but she could not tolerate this and had to stop.

    Diagnosed with epilepsy in 1993. Has tried various different drug treatments, and has been seizure free for a year. Current medication' vigabatrin (Sabril), lamotrigine (Lamictal) and levetiracetam (Keppra).

    Diagnosed with epilepsy in 1971, which has been well controlled from the beginning. Was diagnosed with meningitis in 1994 and had a number of seizures as a result. Has been seizure free since then, and is currently taking phenobarbitone (Gardenal) and carbamazepine (Tegretol).
