Zubair received help from a Muslim charity when he had Covid. They delievered him hot meals everyday so he did not have to worry about grocery shopping.

Gender: Male Ethnicity: Indian Background: Goutam is 52 years old and is Indian. He is married and has two children, and works in IT implementation management. Goutam developed Covid symptoms during the first week of the first national lockdown. He was taken into intensive care after his oxygen levels remained too low. He found the experience disturbing, but his family gave him strength.

Ethnicity: Pakistani Background: Samena is 32 years old and is Pakistani. She is married and has two children. Samena felt overwhelmed and frustrated during the first lockdown but didn't catch Covid until February 2021. She feels that guidance around testing has been easy to follow, but rarer symptoms need to be discussed more.

Ethnicity: Bangladeshi Background: Fahmida is 40 years old and is Bangladeshi. She lives with her husband and children and works as a teaching assistant. Brief Outline: Fahmida became very unwell with Covid so her husband rang the emergency services. When she arrived at hospital, she had a variety of tests that all came back normal. The doctors gave her a anti-vomiting tablet which helped keep her food down and gain strength to combat the illness.

Gender: Female Ethnicity: Jewish Background: Esther is 26 years old and is Jewish. Esther tested positive for Covid in January 2021. She unclear when she caught the virus, believing she either caught it attending her grandfather's funeral or when her family gathered to support her grandmother during that difficult time. Esther was ill for weeks after testing positive and now suffers from long Covid symptoms.

Gender: Male Ethnicity: Ashkenazi Jewish Background: Rabbi Wollenberg is 46 years old and is Ashkenazi Jewish. He is a Rabbi and works with the Orthodox Jewish community. Rabbi Wollenberg caught Covid early in the pandemic. He never got a high temperature, but being breathless and having chest pain led him to attending Accident and Emergency services at hospital. Having Covid made him confront his own mortality, but he is glad to have made a recovery and resumed his work.

Background: Tamar and Noam are a married couple, aged 30 and 34 years, and are White British. They belong to the Orthodox Jewish community. Tamar and Noam caught Covid in August 2021 after they had received their first Covid vaccine. While Noam recovered quickly from his mild symptoms, Tamar took longer to recover, and this was especially stressful as she was 38 weeks pregnant. They had to call the Hatzola (Jewish Ambulance service) three times to check her heart rate and oxygen levels and that her baby was okay.
