Naomi

After two traumatic births with her previous daughters, Naomi had a planned caesarian booked for her third. Two days before it was due, she had a uterine rupture. Her daughter was delivered by emergency caesarean. Her daughter was fine but Naomi developed a rare colon condition, Ogilvie's syndrome.

    Michelle experienced post-partum haemorrhages after delivering both her children. She planned a home birth for both children, but was taken into hospital to manage the bleeding in both cases.

    This was Natalie's first pregnancy. After a quick labour she delivered her son in hospital. However, after the delivery she started to feel very strange and had started to haemorrhage. She lost 3 ' litres of blood but doctors were soon able to stop the bleeding.

    When 32 weeks through her third pregnancy Sarah was diagnosed with placenta praevia and was in hospital for the remainder of her pregnancy. During a planned caesarean Sarah haemorrhaged and doctors performed a hysterectomy to save her life. Her baby was taken into special care but was soon well.
