Interview 19

She was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2001. Treatment chemotherapy. In October 2002 the tumour started to grow again. She was treated with radiotherapy. In remission.

    Diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma grade 2B in 2002. His treatment consisted of six months of fortnightly sessions of chemotherapy, followed by five weeks of radiotherapy. In remission since 2001.

    She was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). Treatment: chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She has a Keyloid scar on her chest which appeared after the Hickman line was removed.

    Diagnosed in 2000 with Ovarian Cancer; had surgery and both ovaries were removed. It was followed by chemotherapy. Experienced the menopause at the age of 19. Currently having Hormone Replacement Therapy. In remission

    Dancer; works full time with a dancing company. During her chemotherapy treatment she continued with her university studies and lived in student accommodation. She is currently living with her parents.

    Diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2004. He gave up his chemotherapy treatment but went back to it after realising that there is no other treatment available. Current treatment: chemotherapy.

    Diagnosed in 2002 with a brain tumour; medulloblastoma. Treatment' surgery to remove the tumour; six weeks of radiotherapy and eight months of chemotherapy. In remission.

    He lives with his parent and sibling and works part time as a checkout operator; white British. Says that the music of Bob Marley really helped him during his treatment.

    Diagnosed in 2000 with Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumours (MPNST), in the neck. Treatment: radiotherapy. The MPNST reappeared in his chest. Treatment: chemotherapy, surgery, chemotherapy. In remission since 2002.

    Diagnosed with malignant melanoma in 2002. Treatment' surgery and radiotherapy to the neck area. She has had further surgeries to removed lumps that have developed later. A course of Interferon in 2004. On treatment.

    In October 2000 she was diagnosed with a Ewing's sarcoma and had an operation to remove her shoulder blade, followed by physiotherapy. Chemotherapy before and after surgery. In remission.

    Diagnosed on February 2002 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Treatment protocol: one year of intensive chemotherapy followed by two years of maintenance. He had a Hickman line. Finished treatment in May 2005.
