    Steph started restricting what she ate when she was 13. This developed into anorexia nervosa which she struggled with for about 8 years. She is now fully recovered.

    Francesca was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa in early teens, which later developed into bulimia nervosa. She believes people will only respond to help when they are ready to get better, not if forced. Francesca never thought that she could even be able to enjoy eating but says now her favourite food is Thai.

    Katie was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa at 13. She was an outpatient at an eating disorders unit for four years and with the help of a great therapist is now in recovery. For years, she couldn't believe that 'life without this is better than with it'.

    Annabelle was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa at the age of 14. She stayed at hospital on three different occasions and got better through the help of a great dietician and therapist. She now works to help other young people with eating disorders.

    Craig was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa at 22 and has also suffered from depression and anxiety. Through practical help from a community psychiatric nurse, and his own proactive choices in life, he describes himself now as 'slightly recovered.

    After a few years cycle of purging, binging and restricting food, Jasmin was diagnosed with purging type of anorexia nervosa at 17. Seeing a great dietician and working through her thinking and feeling patterns around food helped her onto recovery.
