Who made this cleft lip and palate resource?

Dr Aidan Searle

Dr Aidan Searle is a Research Associate in the Department of Oral and Dental Sciences, University of Bristol and a Chartered Health Psychologist. An overarching theme of Aidan’s research interests is how individuals respond to living with a health condition and their responses to management and treatment.  Aidan has applied both quantitative and qualitative research methods to investigating individuals’ experiences of a range of health conditions including visual impairment in children, management of Type 2 diabetes, wound healing in chronic foot ulceration and managing depression.

Her research interests include the impact of visible differences in dento-facial appearance on quality of life (particularly related to cleft lip and palate and head and neck cancer) and the effects of relationships and communication on health outcomes and health-related behaviour.
