Louie

(Text only clips) Louie has had psoriasis since age 13. His confidence was knocked at first but he now feels less self-conscious. Louie has tried lots of treatments and thinks it's important that doctors consider the impacts of these on young people's wider lives.

Devin

Devin's depression began in childhood. He connects it, along with his diagnosis of anorexia and his self-harming, with a history of neglect. He was hospitalized in his teens. Therapy, meditation and other holistic approaches have been helpful. He does not take medication.

Jackson

Jackson, 27, experienced childhood abuse, father's suicide and mother's imprisonment. Diagnosed at 14 with depression and PTSD, he used and stopped medication. Therapy, self-care and coming out as a transgender male have healed Jackson's depression.
