Dorothy – Interview 20

In 2007 Dorothy's doctor found she had an inoperable pancreatic tumour which he suspected was malignant. She is not having treatment now because the doctor said that it wouldn't help much but would harm her quality of life. Dorothy feels quite well.

Marie – Interview 18

Marie was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia after pains in her bones and groin. After two years of watch and wait she had several courses of oral chemotherapy with remissions in between. She is currently well but expects further treatment. Marie was also interviewed for the clinical trials section of this site.

Fred – Interview 38

In 2009 Fred was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He had a Whipple's operation and is still recovering. He has developed a hernia on the site of the incision. He has a positive outlook and hopes that soon he will be well enough to play golf and swim again.
