Jane was diagnosed with CIN3 in 1999, aged 35, after a cone biopsy. Before the biopsy results, she believed she had cancer and felt frightened and anxious. She missed a couple of follow-up appointments because of fears of recurrence.

Rachel was diagnosed with CIN3 and CGIN in 2008, aged 35. She had a LLETZ and, shortly afterwards, a hysterectomy.

Katie delayed going for cervical screening but, because she'd had some symptoms, she felt that something was probably wrong. She was diagnosed with CIN3 in 2009, aged 28, and treated by cone biopsy.

Joanne was diagnosed with CIN3 in 2008, aged 35, and treated by LLETZ. She found waiting for results difficult, though was happy with the care she received from doctors and nurses.

Anna was diagnosed with CIN3 and micro-invasive cancer in 2008, aged 28. She had a LLETZ and, at her second follow-up appointment, another LLETZ because CIN1 was found.

Anna found out she had mild cervical abnormalities while travelling abroad in Columbia. She had a colposcopy and punch biopsy there but was unsure whether she had cancer or pre-cancer. She flew back to England and was treated by LLETZ.

Sarah was diagnosed with CIN3 in 1999, aged 25, and treated by LLETZ. She has had no problems since then and has been clear for around ten years.

Sam was diagnosed with CIN3 in 2009 at the age of 22. Over the course of two years, she had two LLETZ treatments and four or five biopsies. She found waiting between appointments very worrying and would have liked more information.

Patricia was diagnosed with CIN3 in 1993, aged 38. She was treated by LLETZ and, later, chose to have a hysterectomy because of the anxiety she felt about recurrence and further problems.
