Who made this researchers’ experiences of patient and public involvement resource?

Louise Locock

Louise has a PhD in social policy from LSE (1998) and joined the Health Experiences Research Group, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford in 2003. She is now Director of Applied Research for the group and Associate Professor. Louise is also Health Experiences Fellow for the National Institute for Health Research Biomedical Research Centre in Oxford. Her research interests include experiences of neurological conditions, medical research participation, patient and public involvement, and how patient experience can inform NHS service improvement.

Anne-Marie Boylan

Anne-Marie was a Qualitative Researcher in the Health Experiences Research Group, University of Oxford and is now a Senior Researcher in the NIHR Oxford CLAHRC (Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care). Her background is in psychology and she obtained her PhD from Queen’s University Belfast. Her research interests include patient and public involvement, experiences of acquired disability, brain injury and children’s research, and the use of patient experience data to improve services.

Susan Kirkpatrick

Susan Kirkpatrick joined the Health Experiences Research Group as a Senior Researcher in January 2010. She has a background in Sociology, and has worked for the past 12 years on family and health related research. Susan was the ‘research buddy’ and conducted peer review of  the research findings for the project.
