Jacqui's husband Terry was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (previously known as emphysema) 16 years ago. As his condition worsened Jacqui provided full-time care, which she did for the last 10 years of his life. Terry eventually died peacefully with his family around him.
