MP Norman Lamb becomes patron
healthtalk.org is delighted to announce that MP Norman Lamb has agreed to become its patron.
The Liberal Democrat spokesman for health, and MP for North Norfolk since 2001 said:
‘Making sure that people have access to the best possible information about health conditions affecting them, their families and friends is of the utmost importance.
“I was really impressed when I first came across healthtalk – a dynamic, interactive resource that provides in-depth but accessible information on a whole range of conditions and health issues.
“By being able to see and hear people sharing their personal stories, healthtalk can make an enormous difference by improving understanding, tackling myths and mysteries around certain conditions, and helping people to take control of their healthcare.
“I am very pleased to become a patron of healthtalk, and look forward to doing everything I can to make sure that as many people as possible can benefit from this excellent resource.”
CEO of healthtalk.org Luís Carrasqueiro said:
‘We are delighted and honoured that the Rt Hon Norman Lamb MP has become our patron. His track record and continuing interest in health and social care are widely acknowledged and respected across the country. We look forward to working together to support people and their families better understand their health conditions.’
