About five million people in the UK have asthma, a condition that affects the airways (the tubes carrying air in and out of the lungs). People with asthma have sensitive airways which become irritated in some situations, making it more difficult to breathe.

Researchers travelled all around the UK to talk to 37 people in their own homes. Find out what people said about issues such as symptoms, changing symptoms over time, medication and treatment, exercise and asthma in the workplace.
