Her husband had cardiac arrest and was admitted to ICU. She is his full-time carer and worries about leaving him on his own because of his memory.
In 2005 her husband had cardiac arrest and was admitted to ICU for two weeks. He was then transferred to a ward until a bed became available in a rehabilitation unit. She was very concerned about her husband while he was on the ward because she felt he still needed a lot more nursing care and physiotherapy. He also lost a lot of weight and got a kidney infection.
When he came home from hospital he made good improvements physically and mentally, but still has a lot of problems with his memory. She is his full-time carer and worries about leaving him on his own for more than a few hours because of his memory. She also worries about what would happen if she also became ill. She has had a lot of support from family and friends.
