University of Nottingham becomes a friend of healthtalk.org

Clinical Skills, Graduate Entry Medicine at the University of Nottingham are the latest team to sign up to support the work of the charity behind healthtalk.org and receive a licence to use our video clips in teaching.

Healthtalk.org is freely available only for personal use and all of the video clips on the website are copyrighted to the University of Oxford. However, we are able to provide a licence to those who wish to use our clips in teaching and learning through our ‘friends of healthtalk.org’ scheme.

Having just joined the scheme, the team at the University of Nottingham will enjoy the ability to stream clips from our website in lectures and have the option of accessing our video clips to embed in presentations or on their Virtual Learning Environment.

‘Healthtalk.org is the best available resource for teaching students the power of listening to patients and their experience of illness and healthcare. We use these clips to demonstrate how patients experience the physiological and anatomical change in their bodies which constitutes illness, how they adapt and cope with changes in their health and how health professionals can best assist those who are suffering’

– John Frain Director of Clinical Skills, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences at the University of Nottingham.
