Fred Hucker
Staff and trustees of the Dipex Charity were sorry to hear of the death of our Vice President, Fred Hucker on 28 February following a short illness. Fred served the charity since its incorporation in 2002, first as a Trustee later taking on the role of Chair from 2013-2016. He was a dedicated and generous Chair and worked tirelessly to progress the Dipex Charity aims and we are most grateful. In particular we note his efforts in raising more than £20,000 for the charity by organising a fundraising dinner in 2015.
Fred was involved in many areas of the business world before moving in to the health care sector. He served on the boards of Oxfordshire Health Authority and the Thames Valley Strategic Authority. After retirement he remained active as advisor to a range of businesses; civil engineering, plastics and global internet. He was also involved with other charitable bodies, notably The Wooden Spoon Society and the Irish Youth Foundation.
Our thoughts are with Fred’s family at this sad time.
