Interview 25 – Carers of people with dementia

She cares for her husband at home. He was terrified when left in respite care so she removed him within hours. He later developed Parkinson’s disease. He was admitted to hospital for assessment and subsequently transferred to residential care.

The loss of faculties is gradual.
