Screening for unrecognised heart valve disease

In this section you can find out about the experience of taking part in screening for unrecognised heart valve disease by seeing and hearing people share their personal stories on film. Our researchers travelled all around the UK to talk to 18 people who were taking part in a new research study which is screening people aged over 65 to find out how common heart valve disease is. Find out what people said about what it was like to be involved, the reasons they took part, the information they needed, and how they felt about their screening results. We hope you find the information helpful and reassuring.
