A service for women experiencing domestic violence, their family, friends, colleagues and others calling on their behalf, run in partnership between Women’s Aid and Refuge.

Northern Ireland: Domestic and Sexual Violence Helpline
Call: 0808 802 1414.
A 24 Hour Domestic & Sexual Violence Helpline open to anyone affected by domestic violence regardless of gender, sexuality, disability, age or ethnicity. 

Wales: The Live Fear Free 
Call: 0808 2000 247. 
Helpline for anyone experiencing domestic or sexual abuse. 

Scotland: National Domestic Abuse and forced Marriage helpline
Call: 0800 027 1234.

National LGBT Domestic Abuse Helpline 
Telephone: 0800 999 5428. 
Provides emotional and practical support for LGBT people experiencing domestic abuse. Abuse isn’t always physical- it can be psychological, emotional, financial and sexual too. Speak out, don’t suffer in silence. 

Women’s Aid (England) 
The key national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children. They support a network of over 500 domestic and sexual violence services across the UK. 

Scottish Women’s Aid 
The key national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children in Scotland 

Welsh Women’s Aid 
The key national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children in Wales. 

Women’s Aid Northern Ireland 
The key national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children in NI. 

Respect 
A helpline for people who are concerned about their abusive or violent behaviour towards their partners. They help direct people to programmes that support people to change their aggressive behaviours. The respect phoneline can be called on: 0808 802 4040. They also offer an email service via their website. 

Rape Crisis England - Women
Their website allows you to search for your local rape crisis organization. Alternatively, you can call the national Rape Crisis helpline on 0808 802 9999 between 12 noon – 2.30pm and 7 – 9.30pm any day of the year and also between 3 - 5.30pm on weekdays for confidential support and/or information about your nearest services. 

Mumsnet
Parenting website by parents for parents, addressing a wide range of parenting issues as well as issues impacting on women as mothers.

A helpline for those experiencing forced marriage or 'honour' crimes.

Freedom Programme
A 12 week programme which is run in many areas of the UK, helps women identify abusive and coercive behaviour. Further information can be found at their website. 

The Recovery Toolkit
A programme for survivors of abuse, similar to the Freedom Programme. It helps victims to recognise the abuse they have experienced as abuse. Information about where the programme runs can be found at their website. 

Survivors Forum
A web based peer support platform for survivors of abuse to discuss issues with other survivors and to share knowledge and experiences. 

IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve Safety)
IRIS is a general practice-based domestic violence and abuse training support and referral programme that has been evaluated in a randomised controlled trial.
